A lifelong CISVer with deep roots in youth development steps into national leadership
CISV USA is proud to announce that Dr. Jude AlBukhari has been appointed Executive Director, effective June 1, 2026.
Jude brings a genuine passion for international youth development together with a breadth of experience in nonprofit operations and organizational leadership. With a doctoral degree in child and adolescent psychology and a career spent across mission-driven organizations — including a large nonprofit dedicated to serving children with serious illnesses and their families through camp-based programs — she has consistently built programs that put young people at the center.
This appointment is especially meaningful because Jude is a lifelong CISVer. She began as a Village participant at age 11, and her involvement has spanned two National Associations and every level of the organization, from chapter and Junior Branch to national training and leadership. That experience gives her a well-rounded understanding of how CISV works. Alongside it, her work across the broader youth nonprofit sector — with organizations of different models and missions — has sharpened her perspective on what makes CISV genuinely distinctive and where there is room to grow.
Jude is energized by the work ahead and excited to partner with CISV USA’s chapters, volunteers, families, and international community to strengthen and grow the mission of peace education at a moment when it matters most.
