CISV USA offers a limited number of need-based financial assistance awards to help make participation in our international and national programs accessible to all.
Applying for Financial Assistance
To qualify, applicants must:
- Live in a community served by a CISV USA chapter
- Apply for CISV program and be selected by the chapter for participation
Selection by a chapter does not guarantee financial assistance - Demonstrate alignment with CISV’s mission and values
- Show financial need that would otherwise limit their ability to participate
Applicants will need to submit:
- A financial aid application packet
- A chapter endorsement
- 2 letters of recommendation
- Basic financial information and documentation of need
Awards are determined through an application-based process using a standardized evaluation rubric. Families who qualify for an award will be responsible for paying for CISV membership.
Because funds are limited, not all applicants who qualify will receive assistance. Financial aid awards are limited to providing financial aid for ONE CISV program per participant. All financial aid awardees are required to fill out a post-program survey.
Timeline & Notification
Requests for financial aid should be submitted by February 15th. Awardees are notified in March, depending upon availability of funds. An e-mail notification will be sent to the e-mail address provided in the financial aid packet.
