As the PEACEWAVE progresses from International Peace Day, CISV USA’s journey reaches a significant milestone on October 8th: the birthday of founder, Dr. Doris Allen. Her vision for a world united by the understanding and cooperation of its youngest members continues to inspire the organization’s work. Allen believed that peace was attainable through building connections among children, as they have an innate capacity for empathy and acceptance. Her legacy lives on through the thousands of lives transformed by CISV’s programs.
